Nexus Vendor Reputation System Overhauled
The Nexus Market vendor reputation system underwent a significant overhaul in August 2025. The previous single-score model was replaced by a multi-factor system that provides buyers with more granular quality signals.
What Changed in the Nexus Marketplace Vendor System
The previous reputation model calculated a single composite score from buyer ratings. The new system tracks three independent metrics: delivery confirmation rate, dispute initiation rate, and average message response time. Each metric is displayed separately on vendor profiles alongside the composite score.
Delivery Confirmation Rate
This metric tracks the percentage of orders where buyers submitted delivery confirmation. A high rate suggests reliable fulfilment. The Nexus Darknet calculates this over rolling 90-day and all-time windows.
Dispute Rate
Dispute rate measures the percentage of orders that required platform arbitration. Vendors with low dispute rates demonstrate consistent product quality and accurate descriptions. This metric is weighted heavily in the composite score.
Response Time
Average vendor message response time is now publicly visible. Buyers coordinating encrypted order details depend on responsive vendors. The metric is calculated as average hours between message receipt and reply.
Vendor Bond Requirements
Alongside the rating overhaul, vendor bond requirements were adjusted based on listing volume. High-volume vendors face higher bond requirements, creating a proportional disincentive against exit scams. The bond is held in platform escrow throughout vendor activity.
